    Muir Woods National Monument protects and exhibits a 240 acre grove of old growth coast redwood trees located close
    to the San Francisco Bay area's seven million people. This Mount Tamalpais grove was saved from lumbermen in 1908
    by private donors and is now administrated by the NPS. The grove was visited by over 800K tourists in 2011!
